LA SPEZIA - Goals from Rover and Nolan proved decisive on Monday, as Inter’s Primavera side secured a 2-0 win over Parma. Wednesday will see the Under-19s take part in their sixth final under the guidance of Vecchi, as they take on Bigica’s Fiorentina after they beat Juventus 4-1.

It was a superb result for the Nerazzurri and one that their coach was proud of: “Parma gave everything and did well out there,” said Vecchi to RaiSport. “However, we were more solid than in previous games. We’ve played in many finals over the past few years and we’re pleased to also play for something important this year.

“We’ve come here with many absentees, but at the same time, we knew that we had a strong core. The lads are now demonstrating this. We have many international players and we’re lucky to have them, although, at Inter those who play less also have quality. We’re doing well with individuals that will definitely be a part of the Primavera next year.”

To conclude, he finally addressed their opponents in Wednesday’s final: “Fiorentina are a very strong side and also have almost all of their players available. They’ve been among the favourites since the start and I’m sure it’ll be a great contest.”
