Inter heads to Silicon Valley for the 2018 Stanford Sports Innovation Conference

On 7th March, an Inter delegation will take part in the fifth annual conference that brings together professionals from the field of sports innovation


STANFORD - While pursuing differentiation in the global marketplace, FC Internazionale Milano, who is the first Italian club to be invited at the Standord Sports Innovation Conference, as the club constantly seeks to innovate and consider the debates in the world of sports business.

 

With Chief Revenue Officer Michael Gandler and Director of Global Youth Business Barbara Biggi attending the event in Stanford, there was also progress made on outlining key objectives as per the agreement reached between FC Internazionale and the MLS Club San Jose Earthquakes that will be formalized and announced in May 2018.

 

The San Jose Earthquakes’ commitment to youth development and sports science is aimed to measure itself against international benchmarks in football by provoking the status-quo. In the coming months both parties have agreed to take specific initiatives supported by key stakeholders in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley, combined by the expertise of Inter Academy coaches and the direct access to some of the most innovative technologies in sports science. 

 

The partnership with San Jose Earthquakes, located strategically in the heart of Silicon Valley, will add important value to Inter Academy as the club spearheads progressive youth development initiatives and sports innovation.

 

"The reason why Inter Milan is the ideal partner for our club is because they help us identify with the highest benchmarks in European talent development," said Earthquakes general manager Jesse Fioranelli. "In May, before we conclude the 2017-18 USSDA season, we are presenting how Inter Milan will lend great value to specific Quakes-driven initiatives that we have been eager to present to our academy and the greater Bay Area."
