"We're at a point where it's all to play for, Inter will give everything that is required to bring a result home," said Ausilio at the Gentleman Prize

MILAN - Sporting Director PieroAusilio was presented with an award at the Gentleman Prize for his 20 years at Inter and he spoke to members of the press in attendance.

"Today, you can only speak of an incomplete record, but without any issue, I feel I can say that it’s been positive. Regardless of whether we finish fourth or fifth, it’s been a positive season. We knew that we’d have to fight until the very end on the pitch to reach our objective."

"Matches are won or lost according to what happens on the pitch. Against Sassuolo, we lost because we made too many mistakes. To say that Inter didn’t give everything seems wrong to me. Is Icardi decisive? He is along with his teammates. Mauro is an important part of the team, I hope that he can keep scoring and make an important contribution as we pursue this desire that we all have of returning to the Champions League. We’re in a position where it’s all to play for, Inter will give everything that is required to bring the result home."

"Icardi is part of a project with us that goes beyond these situations, the final position of the team doesn’t determine what this is. After the 21st, we can talk about everything, and we know that the Champions League would bring some extra financial possibilities."
