Inter Campus is today celebrating World Refugee Day, acting as a reminder for their beneficial work in Lebanon

Today is World Refugee Day. According to recent statistics from the United Nations Department for Refugees, there are a total of 22.5 million refugees worldwide, with more than half under the age of 18.

In Lebanon, Inter Campus are active in Shatila, Beirut. This refugee camp was set up in 1948 to deal with the Palestinian diaspora that was forced out of their own homes.

As of today, there are now more than 30, 000 Palestinians and Syrians living in Shatila.

Here we work with young children of Palestinian and Syrian descent, using football to instil a sense a hope and stability for the future.
