Andrea Zanchetta's side weren't able to overturn the result and miss out on the Final Four

TURIN - After the 2-4 defeat in Milan in the first leg, Andrea Zanchetta’s side were looking to come back in order to make the league playoff semi-finals. However, at the ‘Ale e Ricky’ pitch, it was Juventus who won 3-1 to book their place in the Final Four. A brace from Petrelli along with a Fagioli goal made the difference while Esposito scored a consolation goal for the Nerazzurri.

In Turin, Zanchetta’s side started on the right foot and only five minutes had gone when Fonseca saw his goal disallowed for offside. The Inter Under-17s continued to attack and had three chances to make it 1-0 with Fonseca and Rossi. Just after half an hour, a Juventus break saw them take the lead with Petrelli converting from Di Francesco’s assist. The first half finished with the Bianconeri in the lead.

In the second half, the game was played in midfield with Inter looking to attack while Juventus posed a threat on the break. In the 56th minute, an incisive ball from Fagioli allowed Petrelli to make it 2-0. Four minutes later, a mistake from the Nerazzurri saw Fagioli make it 3-0. In the 68th minute, Esposito got one back to make it 3-1.
