Coaches from the Nerazzurri and the Viola recently worked together to help disadvantaged kids from Palermo

PALERMO - It was a party atmosphere from start to finish. For a week, from 9th to 13th July, the staff from Inter Campus and Fiorentina Camp joined forces in Palermo to work with over 90 kids in need.

The initiative took place as part of the ‘Il Giardino’ project, promoted by the Osservatorio Internazionale per la Salute (OIS) and Beyond Lampedusa Onlus.

Within the group were children and adolescents, including Italians and foreigners. They could be from family homes, welcome centres, poverty-stricken families, or even youngsters who’ve arrived via sea and are only there because others didn’t make it. The organisation’s centre put on a programme of fun and inclusive activities, including art workshops, and plenty of games, but also elements of understanding and affection.

The magical power of the ball only strengthens the educational value of this initiative, with Inter Campus and Fiorentina Camp working together to help make the event as effective and enjoyable as possible.
