The Nerazzurri's CEO to the radio show 'La Politica nel Pallone'

MILAN - Alessandro Antonello was interviewed this morning on the Radio 1 show ‘La Politica nel Pallone’, discussing various topics such as the World Cup in Russia, Financial Fair Play and the setting of objectives for next season.

"Lots of big sides have already gone out of the World Cup in Russia. I’ve seen cutting-edge stadiums with top services for the fans. Now, the challenge will be adding continuity to what has been seen this month."

"Plans and projects take time, great work has been done at Inter after a very intense period due to Financial Fair Play. Now, we’ll have some days to reflect and then we’ll see how to finish the technical aspects of this transfer window. The fans are unique, they’ve always shown great attachment to the team. We have to keep our feet on the ground, the season will be extremely long."

"Our first goal was to qualify for the Champions League, now we have to reduce the gap between us and the teams ahead of us. We’ll do everything possible to improve and get back towards the top spots. In order to strengthen, we had to deal with the UEFA limitations, doing so by making thoughtful decisions and small, sustainable steps."

"Mauro Icardi is our captain, there’s a contract in place but also the possibility to move towards a new one. We’ll meet in the coming weeks to go down a road that satisfies both parties. In relation to the Champions League list that is being spoken about a lot, it’s difficult to come to conclusions. We’re waiting for the end of the transfer window."

"With Suning, a strategic project has been created for the medium to long term and everything is revolving around this. The Chinese market is important for the club, we’re on track with expectations and we’ll move forwards with the financial development of the club and the development of the brand."

"I’d also like to take the opportunity to thank the clubs who showed faith in me. With new leadership, the Lega has just started on a new journey and there will be a lot of work to do. The Lega is behind other European leagues and lots of work awaits us."
