KAZAN - An own goal from Fernandinho and De Bruyne’s strike saw Belgium beat Brazil to take their place in the semi-finals of Russia 2018. In Kazan, the Seleçao went two goals behind in the first half. They looked to respond and get back into the match but were only able to halve the deficit 15 minutes from time with Renato Augusto’s header. Joao Miranda’s time at the World Cup therefore ends at the quarter-final stage after he played for the whole match while wearing the captain’s armband.
