On the eve of the 6th Trofeo Memorial Mamma Cairo, Ryan Nolan spoke to Inter TV: "We’ll certainly be ready for the start of the season"

MILAN - With the Under-19 side today advancing their preparations under Coach Armando Madonna, defender Ryan Nolan took some time out to speak to Inter TV: “We are happy with the work that we’ve put in. It’s normal to struggle a bit when a new coach comes in, but we’re improving rapidly and the friendly results prove that. We’ll certainly be ready for the start of the season.”

The Irish defender also commented on his pre-season involvement with Spalletti’s first team: “To train with them was a really exciting experience. I learnt a lot, particularly from the defenders. I’m really happy with how it went.”

In terms of looking to the future with the Under-19s, Nolan added: “When you play for Inter the aim is to grow as players and to win trophies. We did well during the last period and we intend to keep going. There are many strong opponents in the league and it’s going to be a great challenge to go up against them.”

As for the Nerazzurri’s involvement in the Trofeo Memorial Mamma Cairo: “It’s an important and useful tournament to see how we’ve grown.”
