The tactician spoke to Inter TV ahead of his side's Youth League debut: "We're coming into this game with the knowledge that we’re a strong side"

MILAN - It’s almost time for Armando Madonna’s Under-19 side to begin their European adventure in the Youth league, playing Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow at the Stadio Breda in Sesto San Giovanni at 14:00 CEST in the group stage. On the eve of Tuesday’s fixture, the Primavera coach had this to say to Inter TV: “Tottenham are a strong side. They’ve won all of their first five games and scored a lot. However, we are Inter and we’ve prepared to the best of our ability for this game.

“We would’ve preferred to play a few more official matches like our opponents but this didn’t happen. At the same time, we’re coming into this game with calmness and the knowledge that we’re a strong side.

“The first few phases of the game will be crucial and I expect an improvement from the match against Cagliari.”
