The scorer of Tuesday's decisive goal against Fiorentina: "We did well to remain calm and hold out"

MILAN - A scorer of decisive goals, DaniloD’Ambrosio tonight settled the Nerazzurri’s domestic clash with Fiorentina: “Tonight’s goal was key and one that I really wanted. We had to win and maintain consistency. We knew that Fiorentina would try to attack us. They threatened us but we did well to remain calm right until the very end.

“Suffering is part of sport and in this division, we must always show the same level of attention and determination regardless of who we’re playing. As for the goal, I went for the one-two with Mauro, who provided me with a great ball – I then managed to get my shot past Lafont. The poor results from our first few games led us to be quite unscrupulous out on the pitch. We must always win, also because we are Inter.”
