Madonna: "We need to show desire and determination"

MILAN – Armando Madonna spoke to Inter TV ahead of the match between Fiorentina and Inter: “It’s a big game and it’s the start of a run of fixtures in which we’ll face a number of big teams. Fiorentina haven’t changed much since last year and they’re always a tough team to face. We’ve prepared for this game in the best possible way.

“Despite many players being absent during the break, we used it to really get down to work. Due to the fact that we’ll have many games close together, it was very important to improve the physical condition of the lads. I expect us to continue along the same path we took in Eindhoven and then against Udinese. In the last two games, we’ve tried to be consistent in terms of who played and our formation, and we’ve worked in training with this in mind. We need to continue with the right attitude and always try to improve,” continued the coach.

“Inter have won the two most recent Scudetto titles and, as you would expect, the teams we face give their absolute all when they come up against us. But we are Inter, and we have to have the character to face all of our opponents with the aim of beating them in order to do the best we possibly can.”
