Inter Primavera's coach and goalkeeper spoke following the 2-0 defeat to Napoli

MILAN – It was an enormously frustrating afternoon for the Nerazzurri’s U-19 side, who saw their three-game winning run come to end against Napoli. Following the match, both Primavera coach Armando Madonna and goalkeeper Vladan Dekic commented on the match:

Madonna: "Unfortunately, we also haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet in this match. We had many chances, a lot more than our opponents. However, in contrast to our previous games, we weren’t able to make the most of them. The match became more difficult for us when we conceded a goal from a counter-attack. We became a bit nervous and failed to find an equaliser as a result of poor judgement. We were also slow in terms of bringing our game plan onto the pitch, while Napoli’s defensive set-up didn’t make things any easier. I had to change things around following on from our match in the Youth League, and it was the opportune moment to make those changes. It was clear that fatigue did set in, and now it’s important to recover and get back to playing brilliant football again."

Dekic: "Congratulations to Napoli, who were very clinical today. We created a lot of chances but couldn’t convert them. We have to go again from here with the aim of growing and improving. I’m convinced we’re on the right path and we’ll be able to demonstrate this in the games we have coming up."
