De La Fuente's side keep on winning as goals from Pandini, Baresi and Costi saw the Nerazzurre stay top with eight wins from eight

ROME -  Sebastian De La Fuente’s Inter continue to boast a perfect record. On matchday eight in Serie B, the Nerazzurre beat Roma CF thanks to goals from Pandini, Baresi and Costi. The great result sees Inter stay top with a four-point lead over Ravenna.

After the opening exchanges where both teams looked to figure one another out, Inter started to take control. In the 24th minute, Pandini opened the scoring after converting the rebound when Marinelli’s effort was saved by Guidi. De La Fuente’s side continued to attack but a Baresi effort went over the bar. In the 30th minute, the Roma goalkeeper made a great save from a powerful Pandini effort. Guidi did it again two minutes later with another important stop from Pandini.

Inter came out strong for the second half and Regina Baresi added a second in the 50th minute. The captain picked up on a loose ball at the edge of the area, got away from her marker and applied the finish to make it 2-0. The Nerazzurre looked to be in complete control but a misunderstanding between Locatelli and Schroffenegger gave Roma a route back into the game with Landa finding the net in the 51st minute.

Nerves started to take over and a number of bookings were handed out by the referee. Inter were able to kill the match in the 93rd minute after some great work by Rognoni, Baresi hit the post before Costi turned home the rebound and Inter registered an eighth straight win.
