Goals from Adorante and Colidio helped the Nerazzurri pick up all three points on Saturday

ARENZANO - Armando Madonna’s Inter side beat Genoa 2-0 on matchday 11 in Primavera 1 TIM on Saturday, picking up a crucial set of three points. The Nerazzurri were misfiring for most of the match, however, crucially finished off two chances in the final 15 minutes. with Adorante the man to break the deadlock before Colidio then sealed the win. The Under-19s will now turn their attention to their crucial UEFA Youth League match against PSV.

The opening stages saw Inter control the majority of possession, while Genoa defended deep and looked to threaten on the counter-attack. Salcedo was the most dangerous player for the visitors, shooting just over in the 23rd minute. Gavioli then also tried his luck but shot wide and Micovschi tested Dekic just before the interval.

The second half saw many mistakes made by both teams, particularly in terms of build-up play and keeping possession. Genoa’s Rovella missed a good opportunity in the 63rd minute, while Andrea Adorante then opened the scoring soon after. The Nerazzurri’s second then came five minutes later, with Colidio finishing off a fine counter-attack. Genoa did get one back before the end through Rovella, although the away side did well to hold on.

After picking up this latest set of three points, Madonna’s Under-19s will now focus on Tuesday’s UEFA Youth League clash against PSV.
