The squad was divided into two groups, with work being done both in the gym and out on the pitch

APPIANO GENTILE – As is customary when the players train following a match, Coach Spalletti divided the team into two groups today. Those who were involved in yesterday’s Coppa Italia match did recovery work in the gym. This involved doing exercises on the floor (firstly without and then with foam rollers) to loosen up their muscles. Following this, they did some jogging and stretching to conclude their session.

For the other players, the training session began in the gym and then continued with tactical work. An emphasis was placed on ball recovery and build-up play.

The session finished with a practice match on a small pitch, with Miranda, Vecino and Borja Valero all scoring.
