The trio spoke to Inter TV after the Nerazzurri qualified for the semi-finals of the Primavera TIM Cup

SESTO SAN GIOVANNI – Armando Madonna’s Under-19 side defeated Cosenza 2-0 to progress to the semi-finals of the Primavera TIM Cup. Following the match, the Coach, Maj Roric and Davide Grassini spoke to Inter TV:

Armando Madonna: "The pitch didn’t allow either side to play their game. Nevertheless, we managed to adapt quickly and qualify for the semi-finals. Once we went 2-0 ahead, Cosenza caused us problems – they never gave up and tried everything to get back into the match. Matches like this teach you things and help us in terms of our growth process. We need to solely concentrate on what happens on the pitch and our performance, and that is the message we try to convey to the boys every day. We still have a lot of room for improvement and I expect my team to take a further leap forward in terms of quality."

Maj Roric: "It was a tough match played on a pitch that made it difficult for us to express ourselves. We got the win and have qualified for the semi-finals, so it was a very important result for us. I feel good physically and the objective is to continue to improve."

Davide Grassini: "It’s been a long journey from picking up a knee injury to today’s match. I’m very happy with my goal and the victory that the team managed to get. This is a very important year for me in the Primavera side: it took a bit of time to settle in at the beginning, but I’m convinced that the team are continuing to grow and improve. There are many things to focus on and I always try to be ready to play when I’m called on. We’re disappointed to have been eliminated from the Youth League, but the Coppa Italia, the league and the Supercoppa are all objectives that we want to pursue."
