The Nerazzurre continued their winning streak at the Suning Youth Development Centre on Saturday

MILAN - It was another enjoyable afternoon for Sebastian De La Fuente’s side on Saturday, as they beat Genoa 7-0. This latest victory now means the Nerazzurre have secured 15 out of 15 wins in the league, scoring 55 goals in the process and conceding just five.

Serie B’s current Capocannoniere Marinelli got herself a hat-trick during this latest win – her 18th goal in total – while Costi (double), Santi and Merlo were also on the scoresheet. There will now be an international break for the players, with #InterWomen returning on 17th March to face Cesena.

Inter’s wonderful performance against the Rossoblu took place at the Suning Youth Development Centre, with Santi scoring our opener in just the eighth minute. Gloria Marinelli then scored her first goal of the game in the 20th minute following an assist from Regazzoli.

The attacking No.7 was then at it again five minutes later, as she sprinted past her opponent before slotting in to make it 3-0. Inter had all but secured the victory by the 27th minute, as full-back Beatrice Merlo scored Inter’s fourth. Marinelli completed her hat-trick in the 33rd minute, putting a lob past Pignagnoli after a splendid through ball from Baresi.

Following the interval and a couple of changes for the hosts, Costi made it six in the 55th minute before then also scoring Inter’s seventh four minutes later. During the latter stages, De La Fuente’s side easily controlled proceedings and went on to secure their 15th league win.
