A second-half blitz ended Armando Madonna's side's run of five straight wins in the league

SESTOSANGIOVANNI - A terrible start to the second half condemned Inter to a first league defeat in 2019. After a very positive first-half display when a number of chances were created but not capitalised on, a five-minute spell between the 49th and 54th minutes saw the Nerazzurri collapse and concede three goals before a late Adorante consolation. On matchday 20 in Primavera 1 Tim, Bigica’s side left with a 3-1 win to end a run of five straight wins for Inter.

The first shot on goal was for the visitors was when Dekic saved simply from Vlahovic. In the eleventh minute, a great move from the Nerazzurri saw Colidio play it out to Esposito before Burgio just failed to pick out Gavioli in the middle. Madonna’s side were on the attack, Pompetti played a perfect ball for Esposito who cut it back but Mulattieri couldn’t keep his header on target. Straight after, Esposito saw his effort saved. Just before the break, an exchange between Colidio and Esposito led to the Italian forward firing over.

Fiorentina started the second half better. In the 49th minute, Vlahovic opened the scoring with a header. In the next three minutes, Bigica’s side struck with two goals from Montiel to put the game beyond Inter. His first was a left-foot shot across goal and he then turned home from a Dekic rebound for his second. Inter were unable to respond apart from a consolation goal by Adorante in the 87th minute.
