The Nerazzurri Coach speaking after Inter's 4-0 win over Genoa: "We were more clear-headed and solid compared to Sunday"

GENOA - After losing to Lazio at the weekend, LucianoSpalletti’s side responded in the best possible fashion on Wednesday evening by beating Genoa 4-0. The Nerazzurri were dominant throughout at the Marassi, and our Coach was delighted: “The team put in a fantastic performance. They immediately created the right conditions to win. It was a mature team victory and one that now gifts us three vital points. We threw away a great opportunity against Lazio on Sunday – who’re one our of direct rivals. Despite putting in what was a good performance, we were more disjointed. We’ve now back on track.

“The clarity that we demonstrated in our game management allowed us to recover what we lost three days ago. We chose the right moments with ease, while, in contrast, we were too rushed against Lazio – exposing ourselves to their qualities and losing balance too often. There are many teams in the fight for the Champions League, therefore, solidity makes the difference. The ability to follow a specific path, giving everything for the good of Inter and getting results that the club deserves. We came into this match with a strong team attitude and this must always be the case. Brozovic passed the ball well, creating space, while Politano and Perisic were also impressive, constantly threatening their defence.”
