The Nerazzurri defender's first quotes: "The staff here are of a high level and the group is full of quality"

SINGAPORE – Inter have now completed their second day of training in Singapore. And Alessandro Bastoni spoke to Inter TV about his feelings on being involved and getting to know the team and staff: "It’s an honour for me to represent these colours, I’ve been hoping to reach this point for two years now and I’ve finally got this opportunity."

The 20-year-old defender’s rise has been rapid, from Atalanta’s youth ranks to playing for Parma last season: "If I’m here, it’s because of two clubs, and my thanks go to them. The first is Atalanta, who contributed to my development not just as a footballer but also as a person. Without a doubt, the second is Parma – the team that launched my career in football on the big stage. I managed to earn a place in the team, it wasn’t easy because there were some great players ahead of me. I’m happy with the season I had in Serie A and I’d like to thank Parma and D’Aversa, who gave me this opportunity."

As for Inter, the team’s arrival in Asia and his first days in close contact with the Club, team and Coach: "It’s certainly the case that I’ve immediately been made aware of where I am. Working with high-quality staff and great players is a great honour and privilege for me, and I’ll try to learn as much as possible."

In the group, there are many players to learn from and also plenty of youngsters: "I’ve only been here for two days but I’ve already been able to admire this group’s quality, both on and off the pitch. Right from the first moment, they’ve known how to treat me. This focus on youngsters is a good sign, both for Italian football and Inter."
