The hosts beat Peru 3-1 in the final to lift the trophy


RIODE JANEIRO - By beating Peru 3-1 in the final, Brazil secured the 2019 Copa America. It was their ninth title in the history of the competition. There was a touch of Nerazzurro in the squad with Joao Miranda an unused substitute in the final as he celebrates his second title with Brazil after the 2009 Confederations Cup.
