The Nerazzurri defender today spoke to the press during our pre-season camp in Lugano: "We're working hard and working well"

LUGANO - After the team’s second day of training at Lugano, Andrea Ranocchia spoke to Sky Sport on how the team’s pre-season preparations are progressing: “We’re working hard and working well. It’ll be a long season and we must be ready to last from now up until the end of May.”

As for his reunion with Antonio Conte, the defender is excited about the prospect of working with the Coach once again: “I’ve found him to be the same as always, with a huge amount of desire and enthusiasm that he’s transmitting through the entire group and the club. It’s always a pleasure to work with the Coach and his backroom staff. I’m happy and confident about the season ahead.”

The focus for this upcoming campaign are linked to just a few words, Ranocchia explained: “Respect, discipline and hard work. Only through hard work can we achieve the important objectives that we’re aiming for. The Coach’s methodology has always been based on these methods and they’ve always been successful.

“Predictions at the start of the season are worthless. We must ensure that we’re ready right from the word go. We must win as many matches as possible and look to be consistent. There are many rivals but we also have high expectations, it’s only normal.”

“What I can say to the fans is that we’re a squad that will give their all, right from the first minute up until the last. We’re already doing so now and we’ll keep doing it in every training session right until the end.”
