Inter Campus Lebanon in the Shatila refugee camp

A new season has begun in Beirut for 80 young Inter Campus kids. Straight after hearing of our arrival, they came out wearing their Nerazzurri kits form the narrow alleys of the Shatila refugee camp which has been in operation for two years.

Our local contact Othman in Shhatila helps to support the inhabitants of the camp and he waits for us along with the local coaches so that we can resume activities together. For this visit, a final test is scheduled along with the presentation of the certificates of attendance following the completion of the first stage of the module that deals with four areas of training and personal development. 

The intense July heat hasn’t had an impact on the enthusiasm of the boys and girls who trained with the usual energy while also showing that they’re making clear progress as people. Our work is followed and supported by local partner, Anera, an International NGO that works with refugees.

This mission also represents a start for the new partnership with Turkish Airlines who will be the Proud Travel Partner of Inter Campus Lebanon in the 2019-20 season.
