Gagliardini: "Never in doubt, my goal killed off the match"

GENOA - Roberto Gagliardini seems to have a special relationship with the ‘Ferraris’ Stadium. Of his eight goals in Serie A, three of them have now come at the Marassi. The Nerazzurri midfielder scored Inter’s all-important third tonight to kill the game off against Sampdoria. He spoke to Inter TV after the match: “I’m happy with my goal but more than anything with the three points which have given a continuity to the work that we’re doing. I think that we played really well in the first half and we could have scored even more. Things changed in the second half, but I knew without any doubt that we would stay strong. Then my goal wrapped the game up once again. All of our players know their roles and what they have to do. Every player has their own characteristics but the basics and certainties when we step onto the pitch are all there.”
