Five Nerazzurri players in action for European Qualifiers


MILAN - It was a night full of important matches for our international players involved in UEFA Euro 2020 qualification. In total, five Nerazzurri players were in action.  

It was a great evening for RomeluLukaku as the Inter forward hit a brace during Belgium’s 9-0 win over San Marino. Those two goals take his goalscoring tally up to 51 for his country. Lukaku played for 76 minutes in the match and he is the greatest goalscorer of all-time for Belgium. His goals were the ones to make it 1-0 and then 4-0. Belgium are top of Group I on full points and are also the first team to have secured qualification for the Euro 2020 finals. 

It was also a night to remember for ValentinoLazaro who scored for Austria in their 3-1 win over Israel. In the Vienna, the Nerazzurri winger played for 90 minutes and scored the first goal of the comeback for the hosts, It was Lazaro’s third goal for Austria. 

Marcelo Brozovic’s Croataia also won. The midfielder played the full 90 as the home side won 3-0 in Split against Hungary. Croatia are top of Group E and elsewhere in the group, MilanSkriniar’s Slovakia drew 1-1 with Wales. The Nerazzurri defender played the entirety of the match. 

The Netherlands came back to beat Northern Ireland 3-1 in Group C but StefanDeVrij didn’t feature. 

Finally, AlessaandroBastoni was on for 90 minutes with the Italy Under-21 team as Nicolato’s side drew 0-0 away to the Republic of Ireland in Group 1 of qualification for the Under-21 European Championship.
