Two special meetings as part of the project which first began with the oncological paediatrics department at the Tumour Institute of Milan and the paediatric haematology department at the Maria Letizia Verga Centre in Monza

MILAN - In the run-up to Inter vs. Parma the Sky Box hosted children currently receiving treatment for cancer or blood-related illnesses for the first time, an event that will take place again during various league matches throughout the season. But “Football Therapy” also accompanied the Nerazzurri as they travelled to their away games.

The project started with the oncological paediatrics department at the Tumour Institute of Milan and the paediatric haematology department at the Maria Letizia Verga Centre in Monza and was carried out in collaboration with Volvo, the Official Car of FC Internazionale Milano. The result of the project was two particularly memorable meetings before the matches against Brescia and Bologna.

Children and young people currently receiving treatment at the Civil Hospital of Brescia and at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Hospital in Bologna met Antonio Conte with Gabriele Oriali and Javier Zanetti respectively. It was a unique and unforgettable moment for all those present at both occasions.
