Serie A Femminile, Inter 2 - 0 Orobica

SOLBIATE ARNO- Inter picked up an important win, beating Orobica 2-0 at the Stadio Chinetti in Solbiate Arno. Regina Baresi and Irene Santi scored the goals for the Nerazzurre. 

Inter started on the attack with Brustia firing just over 12 minutes in with a long-range effort. The Nerazzurre continued to pose a threat with Marinelli sliding in Tarenzi but she was unable to finish. Merlo was the latest to go close as she looked to catch out the goalkeeper from distance only for the shot to go narrowly wide. 

The second half began with a great team move that ended with Alborghetti shooting just wide from inside the area. Inter eventually broke the deadlock from the penalty spot, Regina Baresi making no mistake after stepping up to the mark. In the 64th minute, the substitute Irene Santi was able to make it 2-0 with a right-foot finish after some confusion in the box. Inter looked dangerous once again in the 78th minute when Tarenzi showed pace down the left but failed to apply the finish from a position in front of goal. Just before the end, Norton came up with a great piece of play as she narrowly missed the top corner.
