The Nerazzurri played out a goalless draw with their visitors at the Stadio Breda. The U19s will be back in action on Wednesday as they take on Slavia Prague in the UEFA Youth League

SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - It ended 0-0 between Inter and Torino on a wet and windy Saturday at Stadio Breda. On a pitch that had been made sodden by the pouring rain, the match between the Nerazzurri and the Granata ended with two clean sheets and not much else to celebrate. A first league draw of the season for Armando Madonna’s team, who will be back in action on Wednesday in Prague for a very important match in Group F of the UEFA Youth League.

Continous rain and a waterlogged pitch meant for a very flat first 45 minutes. Ghazoini had an attempt for Torino in the sixth minute but Stankovic kept it out on the stretch. Towards the end of the half first Mulattieri and then Kone both went close to ending the deadlock but they were denied by the goalkeeper and then the post respectively. The last chance of the half went to Torino as Adopo stung the palms of Stankovic.

Both teams continued to struggle to play with the ball on the ground during the second half, and both often resorted to going long. Gnoto, who had replaced Mulattieri, tried his luck in the 71st minute but his right-footed attempt was kept out by the Torino rearguard.
