PRAGUE – A goal, two assists and two goals ruled out. It was a complete performance: Romelu was inspired form against Slavia Prague, causing the Czech defence problems all night with his superb link-up play with Lautaro Martinez. The Belgian forward netted his first Champions League goal in the Inter shirt this evening, a moment he’s been longing for. Following the match, Lukaku spoke to Inter TV: “It’s a very important win for us: we came into the game in a complicated position in the group. The team always have a desire to win, physically we’re doing well and we’re very strong in defence.”
His understanding with Lautaro Martinez just keeps on improving: “When I arrived at Inter, I told Lautaro that I was here to help the team and that together we could score many goals. We play very well together with the aim of helping the team, we need to continue in this manner. We’re obviously happy but now we’ll immediately start thinking about SPAL, it’s a very important game for us.”
