The Ghanaian ahead of Inter vs. Lazio: "The group is improving, Conte helps us to give our best"

MILAN – Followingthe #DerbyMilano and two days ahead of the Lazio game on matchday five in Serie A TIM, Kwadwo Asamoah spoke to Sky. “We’re working a lot and in the right way, it’s important for us to go out and give our all in every game. It’s not easy to get four straight league wins, it stems from the work we’ve been doing since the very start of pre-season and we’ll keep it up to improve further. It’s important for players when you win, it gives you energy and desire. This is a strong group that is improving. We’ve started well, we’re on the right road and we need to keep doing what we’re doing.”

The work and energy from the Coach Antonio Conte have proved to be important. “He always wants the best from his players, it shows with what we’re doing on the pitch and in training. You need to be ready physically and mentally and he is a big help for his players because they can always do better.”

On the group: “What we’re showing on the pitch comes what we’re doing in training. When we play our game, it’s important that every player is in place and that makes it all come naturally. Lukaku is a fantastic player, he’s doing a lot for the team in attack and defence. He surprised me because some players struggle at the start when they come to Italy but he’s understood the style of football straight away. I think he can improve further and do even better.”

Racism in stadiums was another issue up for discussion: “It’s certainly unpleasant and irritating, for many years you’ve heard the same things and these mistakes are repeated time and time again. Inter are doing a lot in this regard to prevent these things from happening again and to also improve Italian football in this regard.”

Finally, on the team’s goals for the season: “I think we can still get better, there are lots of games left in which we can give even more. At the moment, we’re think about each game as it comes and we want to get positive results in every match in order to go as far as we can.”
