On Friday morning, the Nerazzurri took to the pitch at the BPER Training Centre, in Appiano Gentile, where they played a friendly against Serie B side Padova. Chivu's side won 3-1: Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Carlos Augusto and Andy Diouf were all on the scoresheet.
