The Nerazzurri will return to action on Sunday 20th October away against Sassuolo


MILAN - The league is now on pause for international football and Inter will be back on Sunday 20th October at 12:30 CEST away at Sassuolo. So far, the Nerazzurri have played nine times this season with seven matches in Serie A TIM and two in the UEFA Champions League, winning six, drawing one and losing two. Together with Opta, here are the stats from the early stages of the 2019-20 season under Antonio Conte. 

Inter are the side who have scored the most goals from headers this season with four. Lautaro Martinez, Sensi, Lukaku and D’Ambrosio have all scored with their heads. 

The Nerazzurri are also top for goals scored from outside the box on three which were scored by Brozovic, Candreva and Sensi. 

Regarding the defence, the Nerazzurri have conceded the fewest goals in the first halves of matches in Serie A. Handanovic has only been beaten once in the first 45 minutes of games. The Inter backline is the stingiest in the league with four goals against. 

Looking at individual statistics, Marcelo Brozovic is the player who has made the most passes this season with 575 ahead of Miralem Pjanic (525) and his Nerazzurri teammate Milan Skriniar (500). 

Samir Handanovic has the highest save percentage out of goalkeepers who have made at least two appearances on 81 per cent.

Eight different Inter players have scored at the start of this Serie A campaign, no side has had more different goalscorers. The players who have found the net are: Brozovic, Sensi, Lautaro Martinez, Lukaku, D’Ambrosio, Sanchez, Candreva and Gagliardini.
