MILAN - FC Internazionale Milano is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Alberto Rivolta. Born in 1967 in Lissone, Rivolta, a former defender, came through the Nerazzurri’s youth ranks at the beginning of the 1980s and made his debut for the First Team against Como in Serie A on 15 December 1985.
Over the course of his stay at the Club between 1985 and 1987 and then during the 1988-89 season, he made a total of seven appearances. The most memorable one was no doubt his outing on the penultimate matchday of the '88-'89 campaign, meaning he became one of the players to feature in that heroic, record-breaking Scudetto-winning side.
The Club, in remembering Rivolta’s courage when fighting his illness, expresses its deepest condolences to his family and friends on behalf of the whole Inter family.
