The Nerazzurri players called up for international duty

For the first time this season, league action pauses to make way for international fixtures. There is a change to the format compared with recent years: for the first time, each national team will play three or four matches over the course of three weeks, with Serie A taking a break for two weekends. Several important fixtures will take place during the international break: in Europe, a new edition of the UEFA Nations League will get underway, while in Africa, qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations, to be held in summer 2027, will begin. As usual, there will also be several international friendlies alongside the competitive fixtures.
