The Argentine scored a brace in the win over SPAL
MILAN - Matchwinner once again. His streak of scoring early on in games, particularly in the first 30 minutes, continues. Lautaro’s first brace at San Siro overcame SPAL's stubborn rearguard efforts, with a right-footed shot and a header earning all three points for Inter. He’s now scored eight goals in Serie A so far this season, and they have helped push the Nerazzurri to the top of the table. The Argentinian attacker discussed the victory with Inter TV: “We played really well during the first half, we closed up a bit during the second half but it’s a really important victory. We’re proud, we work for this every day, to show out there on the pitch that we are worthy of wearing this shirt.”
“We did really well in the first half, with the two wide players pushing high up the pitch and with the defence also playing a high line. In the second half our physical levels and maybe also our mental levels dropped a bit, but we didn’t close up too much to try and avoid risks, the mentality was right in any case. Scoring early on in matches? There’s no real reason why, the ball came in and I scored; we all want to win, especially in front of our own fans.”
