Stats from the heavy win on matchday 17 of the Serie A season


MILAN- Antonio Conte's Inter beat Genoa 4-0 in the 17th match of the league campaign to end 2019 on a high. 

Together with Opta, here are the stats from the match at San Siro. 

  • Inter have picked up at least 42 points at this stage of Serie A season for the fourth time in the era of three points for a win. Inter previously got asa many points in 2006/07, in 2007/08 and in 2008/09.

  • Sebastiano Esposito (17 years, 172 days) is the second-youngest goalscorer ever for Inter in Serie A, after Mario Corso (17 years, 97 days).

  • Inter have won their last three Serie A games against Genoa with an aggregate score of 13-0.

  • Romelu Lukaku has scored and assist a goal in the same match for the second time with Inter. He did it before against Slavia Prague in November in the Champions League.

  • Samir Handanovic has kept 100 clean sheets in Serie A for Inter, more than any other goalkeeper since 2012/13 ( the season when he joined the Nerazzurri).
