MILAN – The poll launched on Twitter to decide Inter’s Man of the Match from the 4-0 win against Genoa on matchday 17 of the Serie A TIM season has closed.
For the Nerazzurri fans, there was one clear winner: Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian not only scored two great goals and provided an assist during the match, but he also unselfishly allowed Sebastiano Esposito to step up and take the penalty to make it 3-0 to Antonio Conte’s men. In total, Lukaku received 83% of the vote share.
Meanwhile, Sebastiano Esposito finished in second: on his first start in Serie A, he became the second youngest player to score for Inter in Serie A. He received 8.4% of the votes. Roberto Gagliardini (4.6%), who scored Inter’s second, and Antonio Candreva (4.3%), who set up Lukaku’s two goals, came third and fourth respectively.
