The Club is thinking of the former Nerazzurri striker's family at this difficult time

MILAN – Joaquím Peiró has passed away at the age of 84. Born in Madrid on 29/01/1936, the former striker wore the Nerazzurri shirt from 1964 to 1966 as part of Helenio Herrera’s Grande Inter side. During those two seasons, he won everything: two Scudetto titles, two Intercontinental Cups and one European Cup. He made a decisive contribution, scoring 16 goals in 47 matches. His name will forever be part of Nerazzurri history, and that unforgettable goal against Liverpool on 12 May 1965 in the semi-final of the European Cup will never be forgotten.

FC Internazionale Milano is deeply saddened to hear of his passing and, on behalf of the Club’s fans, sends its condolences and heartfelt sympathies to his family.
