MILAN – The trip down memory lane continues: Nerazzurri legends continue to show treasured memorabilia from the incredible treble-winning 2009/10 campaign as part of a #Timeless2010 challenge. With Javier Zanetti having displayed his captain’s armband from the Champions League final and Cambiasso his special Nerazzurri pyjamas, today it was the turn of El Principe, otherwise known as Diego Milito.
The Argentine striker, who finished the Triplete season with 30 goals from 52 games, showed the shirt he wore during the unforgettable Champions League final against Bayern Munich after being nominated by his former roommate Cambiasso.
“The emotions I felt in Madrid are difficult to put into words. It was a dream come true for all of us and all the Inter fans, just talking about it gives me goosebumps. What I experienced at Inter, the trophies I won, the affection I received… it was truly unique.”
