The most interesting pieces of triva from the Nerazzurri's win over Brescia

MILAN – The Nerazzurri’s 6-0 victory over Brescia brought with it an array of impressive statistics. Here’s a summary of the best stats from our win, in collaboration with Opta.

  • Six different Inter players found the net (Young, Sanchez, D’Ambrosio, Gagliardini, Eriksen and Candreva) for the first time since our win over Reggina in November 2003: on that day, the goalscorers were Cannavaro, Martins, Van der Meyde, Farinos, Cruz, and Vieri. Lots of players hit the mark, but this is nothing new for Conte’s Inter (click here).

  • The last time that Inter won by a margin of six goals was in March 2017, in our 7-1 win over Atalanta.

  • Danilo D’Ambrosio is one of only two defenders who has scored at least twice in each of the last five Serie A seasons, the other being Leonardo Bonucci.

  • No other Serie A team has seen more players score penalties than Inter, with four Nerazzurri finding the mark from the spot this season. No club has had a better record than Inter in the Top Five European leagues: the Nerazzurri have scored nine penalties out of nine, with the scorers being Lukaku, Lautaro, Esposito and Alexis.

  • In his four games as a starter this season in Serie A, Alexis Sánchez has played a part in 6 goals, with two goals and four assists.

  • For the third time in his career in the Top Five European leagues, Alexis Sánchez scored and provided two assists in the same match, the last time being in April 2013 during his spell at Barcelona.

  • Christian Eriksen scored his first Serie A goal and third for Inter in all competitions this season against the Rondinelle.

  • Starting from last season, no Inter midfielder has scored more goals than Roberto Gagliardini in Serie A (eight).

  • Alexis Sánchez stepped up to take his first penalty in Serie A yesterday.

  • Ashley Young is the oldest defender to have scored at least two goals in the Top 5 European leagues this campaign.

  • Prior to yesterday’s game, Ashley Young hadn’t scored and provided an assist in the same league match since December 2018 (in Man Utd vs. Fulham).

  • The last time that a Serie A match was played in July was in 1948, the year that Torino won the Scudetto.

  • Samir Handanovic is now level with Pietro Ferraris in 24th place when it comes to all-time Serie A appearances (469).

  • Stefan de Vrij played for the 150th time in Serie A yesterday.

  • Lautaro Martinez made his 50th start for Inter in all competitions yesterday evening

  • Andrea Ranocchia made his 200th Serie A appearance against Brescia.

  • Inter have scored eleven goals in their last three games with 11 different players.
