UEFA have nominated the Inter midfielder after a dashing display, in which he scored, against Bayer Leverkusen
Nicolò Barella was certainly one of the key figures against Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter-final of the UEFA Europa League. His goal to open the scoring saw him become the only Serie A centre-midfielder to score in four different competitions this season.
The Nerazzurri midfielder, who put in a brilliant performance, has been nominated by UEFA as one of the candidates for player of the week in the Europa League; the others are Johnsson (goalkeeper - Copenhagen), Taison (centre-mid - Shakhtar Donetsk) and Ocampos (attacker - Sevilla).
