The Argentine was a key figure in Inter's 4-3 win against Fiorentina this evening

MILAN - Boom! The right-footed effort from Lautaro Martinez to make it 1-1 rang around San Siro. The roar after his deflected effort that made it 2-1 is still reverberating. El Toro was lively and played a decisive part in two goals that helped Inter on the way to victory before the two late goals from Lukaku and D’Ambrosio. Following the match, the Argentine spoke to Inter TV: “We’re happy to have started the season with a good match against a very tricky opponent who are dangerous on the break. We showed desire and determination, we conceded three goals that could have been avoided, but we’re happy with the win.

“I work a lot in training, I’m happy with the goals and what we’re working on in training then has to pay off on the pitch. When the side wins, we and the fans are happy. There’s definitely a lot of quality in the team, and the five changes are an extra weapon to take advantage of. Those on the pitch can play with lots of intensity because the players who come on are ready to do the same.”
