EA SPORTS honours FC Internazionale Milano and AC Milan with a mural by the renowned street artist in Corso di Porta Ticinese, launching a message of solidarity for the city and its football fans

MILAN – All eyes were raised skywards this morning in Milan as the city discovered a brand new artwork by Jorit Agoch in Corso di Porta Ticinese.

Two young Inter and AC Milan football fans look out at us. Two symmetrical faces, divided in half, opposite but complementary: though separated by a healthy dose of sporting rivalry, their passion for football overcomes barriers and cancels out their differences. Winning alongside them is Milan, one of the world’s greatest football capitals.

To mark the launch of FIFA 21 on 9 October, Electronic Arts, publisher of the world’s most popular sports game, has sponsored the street art project as a homage to its new partners Inter and AC Milan, in association with Sony PlayStation.

By surprising fans of the two clubs and everyone in Milan, the stunning artwork emphasises the importance of sporting values for the younger generations, echoed in the FIFA 21 payoff, “Win as One”.

The artwork, inspired by sporting passions, is part of Jorit’s “Human Tribe” series, an in-depth exploration of humans and the passage from childhood to adulthood, epitomised in the distinctive marks painted on the faces of the people in his murals (exceptionally here in the colours of the city’s two clubs).

“I wanted to express the concept of “Win as One” through two young people who embody multiple identities, symbolising how this great story is being handed on to the next generations and representing unity in diversity," explains Jorit. “Street art has the power to raise awareness, encourage debate, memories, justice and equality. That’s why I believe so strongly in my work.”

A unique artwork for the city, divided by its support for Inter or AC Milan, but always united by a passion for the world’s most beautiful game. Football fans and everyone in Milan can admire the mural until 25 October 2020.
