The Nerazzurri striker took to the pitch in the second half of Genoa 0-2 Inter

GENOA – In football, there are beginnings and fresh starts. Andrea Pinamonti initially started out in the Nerazzurri’s Elite Academy and went on to make his Inter debut in December 2016. He made five appearances in his first spell at the Club, with his final fixture coming against Genoa in February 2018.  Having played for Genoa last season, Pinamonti is now back with the Nerazzurri. History has a way of repeating itself, doesn’t it?

This is a new chapter for the player and one which has started with three points. In an interview with Inter TV, the forward expressed how he was feeling: “Being back in this shirt is an amazing feeling, I’ve worked hard get myself ready and I’m very happy. Obviously, it was of particular significance to play in this stadium, where I was up against many of my former teammates. But facts speak louder than words: we had to win and it is never easy here: they are a team that fights.

“I am lucky to have teammates who are not just talented players but great guys in general. As soon as I entered the pitch, Lukaku gave me so much advice: I'm surrounded by many wonderful people. The Coach asked me to protect the ball and look for space in behind, we had to put the game to bed. During the week, we train so much that we are always ready and prepared to take to the field.”
