The Slovakian scored his first goal in over a thousand days

VERONA - He hadn’t scored in an Inter shirt for almost three years, with his last goal coming 1,033 days ago against Benevento in February 2018. MilanSkriniar chose the last match of 2020 to put his name back on the list of goalscorers, as his header secured three points and a seventh consecutive win for Inter in the league. “We knew that it would be a tough match against Verona, it’s a very difficult place to visit,” he said to Inter TV. “Juric’s team causes problems for all, I’m happy with what we’ve done and how we've finished the year.

“I really missed scoring goals, but I’m happy above all with the win, our seventh in a row. Then, I sent a kiss to my partner and daughter. I’m happy, I’m working a lot at the moment – as the whole team are – and I feel good. I’ve got used to the back three and things are going well. When you win, it works out even better. Now, we’ll have a rest before we start running again.”
