PLAYER FOCUS

The four players with the most passes attempted in this Serie A all play for Inter or Napoli: Brozovic (1161), Skriniar (1123), Ruiz (1067) and Zielinski (1050). Our Croatian’s next start will be his 150th for Inter as well his 150th appearance in Serie A.

Romelu Lukaku has scored the most goals (eight) from his first eight away appearances in Serie A out of any player since the era of three points for a win. The Belgian has scored twelve goals in the league so far, only two Serie A debutants have done better after 17 games for Inter: Stefano Nyers in the 1948/49 season and Giuseppe Meazza in the 1929/30 season (a debutant because it was the first year that Serie A was one single league).

Lautaro Martínez sits third in the Serie A rankings for shots taken (64), only behind Ronaldo (79) and Immobile (65).

Napoli are one of just three sides against whom Stefan de Vrij has scored more than one goal in the Italian top flight (two, with the same figure against Sampdoria and Torino).

Inter are one of just two sides (along with Genoa) against whom Arkadiusz Milik has played more than three games in Serie A without ever scoring (four games).

Lazio (six) are the only side against which Callejòn has scored more goals than he has against Inter in Serie A (four).

COACHES

This is the first encounter in Serie A between Conte and Gattuso as coaches. The record between the two as players is perfectly balanced, with two wins apiece and two draws in their six encounters from their playing days.

Gennaro Gattuso has failed to win in all three of his games against Inter as a coach: one draw and two defeats for the current Napoli Coach.

Antonio Conte has won three of his seven Serie A encounters with Napoli as a coach, with two draws and two defeats to complete the picture.
