Happy birthday Lothar!

MILAN – He wore the Nerazzurri shirt from 1988 to ’92, four unforgettable seasons in which he displayed all his talent as a complete, modern midfielder with a winning mentality: “I’ve always played to win. Our team was exceptional, and we had great heart which I think was the decisive factor.”

His qualities, determination and leadership abilities all propelled him into the Nerazzurri Hall of Fame as he wrote an incredible piece of Inter’s history. He made 153 appearances for the Nerazzurri scoring 53 goals and winning one Scudetto title, one UEFA Cup, one Italian Super Cup and the Ballon d’Or thanks to his triumphs with Inter and Germany: “Without these teams and without these great players you can’t win the Ballon d’Or, it was a trophy for my teammates.”
