MILAN – By now it has become a regular fixture: after Inter vs. Roma in the 2005 Coppa Italia and the resounding comeback in Inter vs. Sampdoria, it’s time to relive another historic Nerazzurri game. Just like every Wednesday at 22:00 CEST, Inter Classics is back.
On Inter’s official YouTube channel this evening at 22:00 CEST, Inter fans will be able to enjoy the first Derby game of the 2009/10 season. It’s a match we all remember very well: AC Milan 0-4 Inter with goals from Thiago Motta, Milito, Maicon and Stankovic. A glorious game that also coincided with Wesley Sneijder’s spectacular debut for the Nerazzurri. It was a perfect match that all fans will be able to enjoy on YouTube from 10pm CEST tonight.
We’ll accompany you on our social media profiles both pre-match and throughout the 90 minutes as we comment on that historical game in real time. It’s a great way to return, at least for a couple of hours, to those unforgettable moments.
It was you the fans who chose to watch AC Milan 0-4 Inter and tonight, at the end of the match, you will also be called upon to decided – through a poll – which match we should broadcast next Wednesday for Inter Classics.

It’s hard to even find the words to describe that match. The Milan Derby in August, which already makes it quite strange: day two of Mourinho’s second season in the Inter dugout. Wesley Sneijder, who had only just arrived at the Club was on the pitch as a starter and he immediately dazzled the fans and frightened Storari in the Rossoneri goal. It was a dominant match that was opened by Thiago Motta’s goal: that slick build-up play and tidy finish remains in our memories. Then Milito scored his first Nerazzurri goal from the spot, before Maicon scored a third and Stankovic’s screamer from distance into the top corner sealed the win. A Derby that was dominated by the Nerazzurri and which proved the start of a great league campaign.
