VIDEO - The two Europa League clashes from pitchside

MILAN - This season’s European nights seen from a new and exclusive perspective. With Euro Nights, we take our fans right into the heart of the action, practically onto the pitch. Having already watched Inter vs. Slavia Prague, Inter vs. Borussia Dortmund and Inter vs. Barcelona, today it’s time to rewatch this year’s Europa League clash against Ludogorets.

20 and 27 February. These are the dates of Inter’s most recent games in Europe before football ground to a halt. Two big games which were already affected by the imminent health emergency. Two Nerazzurri wins in the Europa League round of 32, with Inter now up against Getafe in the round of 16.

Razgrad, Bulgaria. An impressive and atmospheric pre-match display for the first leg, with Fortuna the eagle also one of the stars of the pre-match show at the Ludogorets Arena, the home team’s mascot. But on the pitch, it was Inter who came out triumphant, securing a 2-0 win in the second half as Eriksen grabbed his first goal in a Nerazzurri shirt and Lukaku netted our second from the spot. Watch as our cameras capture the moment our Dane celebrated scoring for the first time as an Inter player from close up. A “YEAH!” and a punch of the fist before embracing his new teammates.

The atmosphere for the second leg was a world apart, 27 February at San Siro, behind closed doors. With no fans in the stands, the subtlest of sounds on the pitch can be heard alongside the footage: the players’ voices, the sound of boot on ball, the words said after a goal. Our 2-1 win to send us through to the next round was secured by Biraghi (also for his first Nerazzurri goal) and Lukaku.
